Sometimes, when watching Card Captor Sakura, I think that all Sakura's dad knows how to cooks is pudding. Pudding and breakfast. Which is not a bad thing, but not exactly a balanced diet for a 10 year old.
In other news, Allison and I attacked a pile of craft supplies. And they were mostly slain. And the peasants rejoiced. It was pretty good, pretty tiring, but pretty good.
Not looking terribly forward to going back to school, considering the late sleeping and the access to a sewing machine. But I have missed people. And remembering what day of the week it is (I missed Dollhouse tonight D:)
I also started watching Toradora! Which I like immensely. It's still airing in Japan though, which means I have to wait and scrounge around for the last 3 episodes.
This was a fairly boring post! I should update my layout.

Now how sweet is that little coordinate? It's from the Korean brand Sechuna, which has just suddenly become one of my favorite things ever. They've got mostly simple things, with nice little details on them like buttons or lace, super cute school girl inspired stuff, and big motorcycle boots to go with everything. I'm dying for some motorcycle boots, they just look so comfy and cute!
So lots of new years resolutions going around I see, always happens this time of year. I'm not too fond of them, seeing as I'm terrible about keeping up with stuff like that. But! I'd love to attempt to try and do some things. Like...Keep up better with my friends from home, try to love myself and others more, get at least a liiiittle bit more organized (a hard one for me, but I will at least try), update my blog more! (and with more interesting posts!), take pictures, stop wearing jeans so much, and fill up moleskines more. I think that's a pretty good little list of things to improve on, and that's better for me then set goals. |

I'm doing a 50 challenge sort of thing, which is nowhere near as terrifying as my previous 100 icon challenges, and involves a lot less of me cursing the world and line art as a whole. Though I will admit, I'm tempted to do yet another after I finish the polyvore challenge. Utena, perhaps.

Lookit my sparkly shoooes! Sam bought them for me for Christmas and I cannot stop stomping around the house in them. Along with that came a lovely 3-tiered bento box full of chocolate, smushy socks, and darling earrings. My parents loaded me up with Starburst and Skittles (I swear to god I got enough candy to last me months) and a linoleum cutter for carving stamps, and Mom's taking me shopping for cloothes. Did I mention Allison got me a badass frilly apron? Christmas was good this year.

It's Christmas time! Which means I've been baking to a point of obsession (At least a hundred cookies thus far this break. Chocolate Snowcaps, Jam Thumbprints, and Peanut Butter Kisses. Lots and lots of the latter, easy and Dad loves them.), working away at Christmas presents (Sam's will kill me), and generally being lazy otherwise. I've watched 6 versions of the Nutcracker. 6. That's a lot of Nutcracker. And I got off my butt to draw that little version of myself for the season. D'awww. I'm anxiously awaiting the Doctor Who Christmas special, I keep forgetting to watch Pushing Daisies (it's much easier when 7 people come yell at you to go to the basement and watch!), and trying to find some good (i.e. not fighting and not 4 billion episodes) anime. Any suggestions?

So, first off, I'm writing a paper on Sonnet 18 right, and Word just told me to correct Shakespeare's grammar from "more lovely" to "lovelier" and it kind of just makes me want to shoot something.
Anyway! I'm typing from Sam's computer because mine has basically died. I'm taking it home this weekend to hopefully fix the giant virus that has entirely blocked me off from my C drive, and hopefully all will be right with the world. It just means that I have to use my boyfriend's Mac, which is awkward considering Macs don't like me too much. But it'll get my English papers done, so it's alright.
Sorry I haven't been posting! School's been hectic. And probably will continue to me, so don't expect anything too terribly useful from me until fall break, just 1 and a half weeks away! I need a break like you wouldn't believe.

Hey everyone! Long time no post. I've been settling back in to college, which has thus far resulted in a marvelous boyfriend, and job which I would really like to start, and lots and lots of rain. Raaaaain. I do like rain, but trekking halfway across campus in pouring rain is not my favorite way to spend a morning. I'm done with classes for the day though! I would have been in English but it got canceled. So uh...more about classes under the cut I suppose!

So a looong time ago, 2 months or so, Kori and I went and ordered ourself some BJDs. And they got here the other day! So I took obligatory pictures. For god knows what reason I neglected to take a) Full length shots, b) Clothed shots, or c) Shots post-face ups (which were possibly the most terrifying thing I've ever done) Because I'm dumb. But those'll be around eventually I'm sure.

In other news, I am sooooo damn tired. I packed all of my stuff today. Put it in the car. We're leaving at like 9 tomorrow morning. And then I have to unpack. Bleh. College just makes me want to go find myself a rock to leave under so I'll never have to move stuff again.
I also re-dyed my hair to the blondish color it was earlier this summer, which is really nice to have back.
...if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go pass out somewhere. Expect moving-back pictures sometime soon!

 Getting Organized
I know some of you will laugh, but it's kind of nice to get all my sewing stuff in order. I've got boxes of fabric all organized by color, no more digging through giant buckets!
The Last Days of Summer
It'll be nice to go back to school, that's for sure, but it's also nice to enjoy my last few days in Cary. I've hung out with a few good friends, which has been nice. I'm going to try to keep better touch when I head back to Greensboro.
Reading
I'm working on my tenth book of the summer, which isn't terribly impressive, but considering most of that reading was done a couple hours before bed every night (except for Havemercy), that's not half bad.
My New Haircut!
My hair is ungodly thick, and my new hair dresser proceeded to oogle over the fact for like 10 minutes when she was washing it. But she managed to thin it out marvelously, give it some nice layers and make it weigh about 12 pounds less! So exciting.
Others: Laundry right out of the dryer, my big floppy sun hat, aloe for my sunburn, She & Him (what a charming duo!), Kori and my dollfies being on the way, searching for "cupcakes" on flickr, my girly pink nails, and nectarines.

Other than that, it has been my birthday! Which was pretty good.
